JU Mingus

Mingus was stage number 1, with the best PA, the homebase for ArtSound, the venue for Wanderlust and the biggest room. There was no particular hierarchy of bands, but I guess everyone wanted to play here. It was a big space, so could lack intimacy. But it worked wonders for Wanderlust, when everyone was there together, and the room didn’t seem so big any more. Wanderlust was the one band I sat down and just enjoyed, and they were the best I’ve heard them. A magical outing.
