Windswept gums

I wasn’t the only one held up in the Goulburn traffic. Yesterday one mate told me he’d blown two tickets when he missed Wayne Shorter. He’d left at 3pm, only 30 minutes after us, but he wasn’t as lucky as we were. Some other friends, Sue and Len, went to the Day on the Green event in Bowral. They left in the morning and saw the overturned car and truck that caused all the mayhem. This Day on the Green was a women’s jazz event, with Katie Noonan and the Captains, Melody Gardot, Madeleine Peyroux and Diana Krall. I read a mixed review in the paper, but Sue enjoyed it well enough and they are capable singers. Here’s Sue’s report:
